A sports mad video project.
Are you passionate about your sport? Do you love filming local sporting events?
ABC Open invites you to make a short film about someone who gives everything they've got to their sport.
Capture the person, the passion and that moment when they're giving it 110%.
They might be the local skateboarding legend, an 80 year old mountain biker, an obsessive marathon runner, or the cricket captain of the under 35s.
Share a story of effort, guts and determination with ABC Open and your film could be selected to feature on ABC Grandstand online.
How to Contribute:
Make a 2 minute video about someone in your community who you think is sports mad.
Include action shots and interviews to tell their story.
Keep it safe, keep it legal and keep it noncommercial.
Submit your video to Vimeo and tag it:
abcopen:project=110percent.
For all the details about contributing to 110%, or to find out about a 110% video workshop near you, visit abc.net.au/open and look up the ABC Open producer in your region

The Band

At the moment the Band is running a Development Band from where members progress to the Concert Band.
We also have the Jazz Band which has been established for many years.
The Concert Band is a new band containing of course more variety of instruments and has been playing together for 12 months now.
The Jazz Band is available for performances such as dinners, concerts, awards nights etc.
The Concert Band plays at the public ceremonies, Anzac Day, Remembrance Day, Australia Day etc.
All bands welcome new members, as there is now a standard to suit all players.
The Development Band is an ideal way to start playing with others, or to re-start after a gap from playing.
This band rehearses at 4.30pm on Mondays at the TAFE Campus, followed by the Concert Band at 5.30pm and the Jazz Band at 6.30.
All players are made welcome.
For any further information ring Lynne Christie on 6555 4409 or Linda Smith on 6555 6450.
